Kevin Bakker is an experienced Agile coach, trainer and consultant who helps organisations work more adaptively, collaborate more effectively and achieve lasting results. With a strong background in quality, software development and Agile, he combines a pragmatic approach with a sharp focus on continuous improvement. <\/p>

Throughout his career, Kevin has guided organisations, teams and professionals in applying Agile practices, strengthening collaboration and delivering tangible improvements. His background as a test consultant taught him how important quality, feedback and learning are for successful change \u2014 insights he brings into every training, workshop and coaching engagement. <\/p>

At Connected Movement, Kevin delivers training and workshops in Agile, Scrum and team development. He is known for his interactive style, practical examples and his ability to translate theory into situations participants recognise from their own day-to-day work. His goal is always to help participants not just gain new knowledge, but to apply it straight away. <\/p>

What makes you unique?<\/span><\/h4>

\u201cI\u2019m an experienced Agile coach and trainer who gives people, teams and organisations clear direction for sustainable growth. I combine a pragmatic approach with a strong focus on quality. My background as a test consultant keeps me sharp on what actually works and how change can be made to stick. <\/p>

As a trainer, I combine theory with practical exercises so that participants not only understand how something works, but can genuinely apply it. I tailor my training content to the needs of the group, so that everyone leaves with concrete insights, new skills and the confidence to use them. <\/p>

Interaction plays a central role in that. People learn most by experiencing things for themselves, experimenting and having real conversations with each other. A healthy dose of humour is part of that for me too. As Benjamin Franklin once said: \u2018Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I may remember. Involve me and I will understand.\u2019\u201d <\/p>

What energises you?<\/span><\/h4>

\u201cWhen participants come with energy, curiosity and an open mind, I get an enormous amount of energy from that myself. I love seeing the moment when people gain new insights, start making connections and get excited about what they can improve in their own practice. <\/p>

Especially when participants are actively thinking along, asking questions and sharing experiences \u2014 that\u2019s when a dynamic emerges where everyone learns from each other. Those are the moments when a training really comes to life.\u201d <\/p>

What does working with Agile mean to you?<\/span><\/h4>

\u201cAt its core, Agile is about helping customers and users in a way that is adaptive, effective and human-centred. It\u2019s about continuous learning, improvement and responding to change without losing sight of the goal. <\/p>

In many ways, I was already working according to Agile principles before I formally encountered the thinking behind it. Collaborating well, taking ownership, gathering feedback and continuously improving were always central to how I worked. <\/p>

I\u2019ve been active in the Agile field since 2012, when I obtained my first Professional Scrum Master certification. Since 2014 I have been delivering training in Agile, Scrum and organisational improvement. What still appeals to me is that no two situations are ever the same \u2014 and there is always room to learn and grow.\u201d <\/p>

What makes a good training?<\/span><\/h4>

\u201cFor me, good training goes beyond knowledge transfer. I want to challenge participants to discover new ways of thinking and working. That includes making room for people to make mistakes. Real growth comes from experimenting and reflecting. <\/p>

My goal is always to give participants something they can act on the very next day. As Stephen Covey said: \u2018If you always do what you\u2019ve always done, you\u2019ll always get what you\u2019ve always got.\u2019 <\/p>

I also pay a great deal of attention to interaction and feedback. At the start of every training, I invite participants to give me direct feedback whenever something could be better. Feedback during the training doesn\u2019t just help me \u2014 it helps the group get the most out of the day. <\/p>

I also believe strongly that participants learn not only from me, but above all from each other. Every group holds a wealth of experience and knowledge. By actively drawing on that, we create a learning experience that is richer than any presentation could be.\u201d <\/p>

Why do you choose to work with Connected Movement?<\/span><\/h4>
