Domain-Driven Design for Product Management
Learn how Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and collaborative modelling can improve collaboration between product, business and engineering. Develop a shared language, make product boundaries explicit and ensure product vision translates more effectively into working software. Available as a practical two-day instructor-led workshop.
Content
Many product teams struggle with misunderstandings between business, product and engineering. Requirements shift along the way, technical decisions don’t always align with customer value, and software doesn’t always deliver what was originally intended. As products grow more complex, the need for shared understanding and better collaboration grows with them.
In this training, you will explore how Domain-Driven Design helps connect product vision, user needs and technical implementation. You will work with collaborative modelling techniques such as EventStorming, Context Mapping and Example Mapping to build shared understanding with stakeholders and development teams. You will also discover how bounded contexts, ubiquitous language and team structures contribute to better flow, fewer dependencies and stronger product decisions.
The training is highly practical and interactive. Around 80% of the workshop consists of hands-on exercises, group sessions and collaborative modelling using realistic product scenarios. You won’t just understand the principles of Domain-Driven Design — you will learn how to apply them directly within modern product organisations.
Who is this training for?
This training is designed for professionals who want to improve product development, collaboration and alignment between business and engineering. You will get the most from this training if you:
- Are a Product Manager or Product Owner
- Work at the intersection of business, product and technology
- Want to strengthen collaboration between product and engineering
- Want more grip on complex product development
- Work on product discovery, requirements or stakeholder alignment
- Want to help teams make better product decisions
- Have an interest in Domain-Driven Design, collaborative modelling and modern product development
Or simply: you want to make sure product vision doesn’t get lost between strategy, requirements and implementation.
What will you learn during this training?
During the training, you work on realistic product scenarios where product, business and engineering come together. You will see how collaborative modelling helps build shared understanding and supports better product decisions.
You will work with techniques such as EventStorming, Context Mapping, Example Mapping, User Needs Mapping and Core Domain Charts. You will discover how to make product boundaries explicit, develop a shared language and define requirements more clearly so that teams better understand what needs to be built — and why.
You will also explore how bounded contexts and team structures influence flow, collaboration and team autonomy, and examine how product organisations can be better structured around user value and clear accountability.
The training is highly interactive and practical. Around 80% of the workshop consists of hands-on exercises, collaborative modelling and group discussions. You will come away with concrete techniques and insights you can apply directly within your own product context.
After this training
After the training, you will understand how Domain-Driven Design helps connect product development with user needs, business goals and technical implementation.
You will be able to use collaborative modelling techniques to build shared understanding with stakeholders and development teams. You will also understand how bounded contexts, ubiquitous language and team structures contribute to better flow, fewer dependencies and stronger product decisions.
You will leave with practical techniques, greater confidence in product–engineering collaboration and concrete tools for translating product vision into working software.
You can also join the Connected Movement community, where professionals share experiences, insights and real-world cases around Product Management, Domain-Driven Design, AI and modern software development.
About the exam
After completing the training, you will receive a certificate of participation for Domain-Driven Design for Product Management.
The certificate confirms your participation in the two-day workshop and your knowledge of collaborative modelling, product–engineering collaboration and the fundamentals of Domain-Driven Design in product development.

Trainers with real-world experience
Participants particularly value the combination of practical experience, in-depth expertise and immediate applicability. Connected Movement training programmes are delivered by experienced practitioners who work daily within complex organisational environments.
20+ client reviews
This workshop finally made it clear why product and engineering so often talk past each other. EventStorming and Context Mapping in particular led to much better conversations straight away. A strong combination of product thinking, collaboration and practical modelling techniques. Much of it directly applicable in complex product environments. What I appreciated most was that it never stayed theoretical. You work on real product scenarios throughout, so the impact is immediately tangible.
