Learn to steer by customer value and measurable Agile outcomes

Professional Agile Leadership – Evidence-Based Management (PAL-EBM)

Learn how leaders and organisations make better decisions using Evidence-Based Management (EBM). Develop skills in empirical steering, value creation, experimentation and outcome-driven working — and discover how to measure Agile success in terms of customer value and business results. Available as a hands-on, instructor-led training based on the official Professional Agile Leadership – Evidence-Based Management programme from Scrum.org.

Content

Many organisations still focus primarily on output, deadlines and team performance, while real customer value, learning capacity and business results remain less visible. This creates an environment where teams are busy, but organisations struggle to determine whether they are actually solving the right problems and moving closer to their strategic goals.

In this training, you will learn how Evidence-Based Management helps organisations make better decisions based on empiricism, experimentation and measurable customer outcomes. You will explore topics such as strategic goals, outcome metrics, hypotheses, experimentation, customer value and organisational agility — and discover how leaders support teams in continuous improvement and value-driven product development.

Topics covered include Key Value Areas, evidence-based metrics, forecasting, innovation, organisational learning and connecting strategy to measurable results. You will also explore how organisations shift from traditional control mechanisms towards a culture of experimenting, learning and adapting.

The training is highly practical and interactive. Through exercises, case studies, group discussions and real-world examples, you actively work through situations where organisations want to improve their steering on customer value, business impact and continuous improvement.

What will you learn during this training?

During the training, you will learn how organisations use empirical steering to focus on customer value, business results and continuous improvement.

You will work on topics such as Evidence-Based Management, strategic goals, experimentation, hypotheses and outcome metrics. You will also discover how organisations make better decisions by making uncertainty visible and continuously learning from results and feedback.

You will also learn how leaders support teams in self-management, innovation and continuous improvement by defining clear goals and measurable outcomes. Topics such as customer value, organisational agility, forecasting and evidence-based decision-making are covered in depth.

The training is highly interactive and practical. Through case studies, exercises and discussions, you develop not just more knowledge of EBM, but — more importantly — a deeper understanding of how to help organisations steer by real value and sustainable improvement.

After this training

After completing the training, you will have a clearer understanding of how Evidence-Based Management helps organisations measurably improve customer value, organisational development and business results.

You will know how to use hypotheses, experiments and outcome metrics to make better strategic decisions and learn more quickly what works and what does not. You will also understand how empiricism and continuous feedback help organisations deal more effectively with complexity and change.

You will leave with practical techniques, a sharper understanding of value-driven steering, and concrete tools for applying Evidence-Based Management within Agile organisations.

You will also have the opportunity to join the Connected Movement community, where professionals share experiences, insights and practical cases on Agile leadership, Product Management and digital transformation.
