Professional Scrum with UX training (PSU)
Many organisations invest in UX, customer research and product development, but struggle to combine these disciplines effectively within Scrum Teams. Designers work ahead of development, research happens separately from the team, and valuable user insights often reach Product Owners and Developers too late.
The Professional Scrum with User Experience (PSU) training shows how UX and Scrum complement each other. You will learn how Scrum Teams can put users at the centre without sacrificing speed, focus or predictability. Along the way, you will discover how research, validation and design can be integrated into the team’s everyday work.
During the training, you will be introduced to principles from Lean UX, evidence-based product development and modern product discovery. You will learn how Product Owners, UX professionals, Developers and Scrum Masters work together to test assumptions more quickly, learn from users more effectively and develop products that genuinely add value.
Through theory, practical examples and interactive exercises, you will develop a hands-on approach to turning user insights into better product decisions, greater customer value and more successful products.
Who is this training for?
This training is designed for professionals who want to build better products by connecting User Experience (UX) and Scrum effectively.
You will get the most from this training if you work as a UX Designer, UX Researcher, Product Owner, Scrum Master, Developer, Agile Coach, or are part of a Scrum Team looking to become more customer-focused and deliver greater value.
This training is particularly relevant for organisations where UX and development are still separate worlds, where research and design struggle to connect with sprints, or where teams are looking for a better balance between discovery and delivery.
Put simply: you want to build products that are not only delivered as planned, but that genuinely meet the needs of users and customers.
What will you learn during this training?
During the training, you will explore how Scrum and User Experience (UX) reinforce each other within a single cross-functional Scrum Team. You will learn how design, research and product development can work together more effectively to learn from users faster and deliver more value.
You will also experience how discovery and delivery can reinforce each other within a dual-track approach. You will practise techniques from Lean UX, learn how to translate user needs into valuable solutions, and explore how UX activities can be integrated effectively within Scrum.
Through hands-on exercises, case studies and collaboration with other participants, you will build practical skills to connect UX more effectively with Product Backlog Management, stakeholder feedback and product development. This creates greater focus on solving real customer problems rather than simply shipping features.
After this training
By the end of the training, you will understand how UX practices and Scrum can be combined effectively within a single Scrum Team. You will know how to integrate user insights into product development and how discovery and delivery can reinforce each other without disrupting the team’s flow.
You will also have a clearer picture of how Product Owners, UX professionals, Developers and Scrum Masters can work together to build better products that meet both user needs and organisational goals.
You can also join the Connected Movement community, where professionals share experiences, insights and practical examples around Scrum, UX, Product Management, Agile and digital product development.
