DASA DevOps Product Owner
Many organisations are investing in Agile, DevOps and digital product development. Yet teams often struggle with unclear priorities, fragmented product vision and decision-making that is slower than it needs to be. This leads to missed opportunities, delays and products that deliver less value than they could.
In this kind of environment, the Product Owner plays a critical role — not just as a backlog manager, but as the connection between customer needs, business goals and the day-to-day work of the team. A strong Product Owner helps teams focus on what truly matters and keeps value at the centre of everything they do.
The DASA DevOps Product Owner training helps you fulfil this role with greater confidence and effectiveness. You will learn how to develop product vision, engage stakeholders, set priorities and translate value into concrete work for your teams. You will also gain insight into how business and IT collaborate, and discover how Agile, Scrum and DevOps reinforce each other.
The training focuses not only on processes and techniques, but also on the mindset, skills and behaviours needed to succeed in a modern product organisation. You will learn how to support teams in delivering valuable digital products and services in an environment where speed, quality and customer value come together.
You can take this training as self-paced online learning. When you register through Connected Movement, you get access to the official DASA learning platform and can work through the material at your own pace. We also offer this training as instructor-led training — in-person, virtual or as private training.
Who is this training for?
This training is primarily aimed at Product Owners who want to deepen their knowledge and become more effective in their role within Agile and DevOps environments. Both experienced Product Owners and professionals looking to develop further in this direction will find a solid foundation here.
Business project managers, business executives, business managers, business information managers and business analysts also benefit from the insights this training offers. They gain a better understanding of how products are developed, how priorities are set and how value is realised.
The training is also relevant for operations managers and enterprise architects who work closely with product teams and want to develop a better understanding of product development, stakeholder management and value delivery.
In short: you want to go beyond understanding what a Product Owner does — you want to learn how to deliver maximum value as a Product Owner in practice.
What will you learn during this training?
You start with the fundamentals of Agile, Scrum and DevOps. You gain insight into the Scrum framework, the different roles, events, the importance of the backlog and the Definition of Done. You also explore how Agile, Lean and DevOps reinforce each other within modern organisations.
You then go deeper into the Product Owner role. You learn which competencies matter most, what responsibilities come with the role, and how Product Owners work with teams and stakeholders in practice to develop products successfully.
You also work on topics such as product vision, value delivery, stakeholder management, backlog management, Agile estimation techniques, progress monitoring and scaling delivery. Challenging situations that Product Owners regularly face are also covered.
