Leading SAFe (SA)
Many organisations have successfully adopted Agile within individual teams, but struggle as soon as multiple teams, departments and stakeholders need to work together on larger strategic goals. Priorities shift constantly, dependencies accumulate and the gap between strategy and execution grows.
At the same time, pressure is mounting. Organisations need to respond faster to customer needs, make use of new technologies and keep innovating without losing grip on quality, compliance or predictability. In that environment, Business Agility is no longer a luxury — it is a necessity.
The Leading SAFe® training offers a practical introduction to the Scaled Agile Framework, showing how organisations can apply Lean, Agile and product thinking at enterprise level. You will discover how SAFe helps organisations structure around value streams, align strategy with execution and improve the flow of value.
You will also gain insight into the role of leadership within a Lean-Agile organisation. You will learn how organisations can guide change, how teams and Agile Release Trains work together, and how key events such as PI Planning contribute to alignment and focus. The training also covers how AI can support organisations in decision-making, transparency and value creation.
Who is this training for?
This training is intended for professionals involved in Agile transformations, organisational development, product development, portfolio management or leadership within larger organisations. It helps build a shared language and a common understanding of Business Agility.
The training is relevant for organisations that find local Agile successes do not automatically lead to better collaboration, greater customer value or faster strategic execution. SAFe provides a coherent approach that connects teams, leaders and stakeholders.
It is also relevant if you are already involved in an existing SAFe implementation and want to better understand how the different parts of the framework fit together and what role you can play within it.
Or, simply put: you want to not just understand what SAFe is, but learn how to apply it successfully in practice.
What will you learn during this training?
You will explore the foundations of Business Agility and learn how SAFe helps organisations deliver value faster. Topics include Lean-Agile leadership, customer-centric working, value streams, Agile teams and Agile Release Trains.
You will also gain insight into Agile Product Delivery, Lean Portfolio Management and how strategy and execution are connected. Continuous delivery, DevOps and organising work around value are also covered.
Practical examples, discussions and exercises help to translate theory into day-to-day practice. This builds a better understanding of how SAFe is applied within organisations and which choices matter most.

20+ client reviews
What made this training particularly valuable was that the trainer did not just explain SAFe, but also spoke honestly about where organisations struggle in practice. It finally gave me a more realistic understanding of how collaboration at scale really works. I had already been working Agile for years, but it was during this training that the connections between strategy, portfolio and teams finally clicked into place for me. The practical examples made the real difference. Many trainings remain too theoretical. Here, you could clearly see that the trainers themselves work daily within complex organisations. The discussions, examples and exercises were immediately recognisable and directly applicable within our own environment.
