Professional Scrum Facilitation Skills (PSFS)

Learn how to use professional facilitation as a Scrum practitioner to help teams collaborate more effectively, have more productive conversations and develop greater ownership. Build skills in workshop facilitation, group dynamics and decision-making, and discover how facilitation helps teams deliver more value. Available as a practical, instructor-led training.

Content

Many Scrum teams run their meetings and events, yet find that genuine collaboration, engagement and focus don’t happen on their own. Conversations stay surface-level, a few people dominate the discussion, or teams struggle to reach shared decisions and take ownership.

In this training you explore how professional facilitation helps teams work more effectively and achieve better outcomes. You gain insight into topics such as facilitation stances, group dynamics, Scrum events, decision-making, team interaction and creating psychological safety. You also discover how facilitation makes conversations more productive, more inclusive and more valuable.

The training is highly interactive and practice-based. You work through exercises, simulations and realistic Scrum scenarios in which you actively apply facilitation techniques. As a result, you develop not just knowledge of facilitation, but above all greater confidence and effectiveness in guiding teams and group processes.

Topics covered include facilitation stances, Liberating Structures, team dynamics, conflict management, participation, decision-making and facilitating effective Scrum interactions. You also explore how your stance as a facilitator influences psychological safety, engagement and the quality of team conversations.

The hands-on format gives you plenty of space to practise facilitation directly, receive feedback and develop your skills in guiding teams and group dynamics.
