Ruud van Huizen is an experienced trainer, project lead and Product Owner with a broad background across both business and IT. Throughout his career, he has guided a wide range of change and improvement programmes at national and international financial institutions, working in diverse roles within both run-the-business and change-the-business environments.
As a trainer at Connected Movement, Ruud delivers training in Scrum, Agile and SAFe. He holds certifications including Leading SAFe and SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, combining his practical experience with a strong focus on applicability. His experience in complex organisations gives him a clear understanding of the challenges that teams, Product Owners and leaders face every day.
Ruud’s approach to training is interactive, pragmatic and firmly rooted in day-to-day practice. He connects theory with concrete situations from participants’ own working environments, making extensive use of exercises, real-world examples and space for reflection. His aim is not just for participants to understand the concepts, but above all to be able to apply them successfully in their own context.
What Ruud enjoys most about training is the moment when participants gain new insights and immediately see how they can apply them in their work. Translating complex concepts into practical, accessible knowledge is what drives him. His strength lies in creating a learning environment where participants are actively engaged and can continue to build on what they have learnt long after the training has ended.
